Track Rules
1. Dial- Ins and Car Number must be displayed on the front, left and back side of your car. Dial- Ins on the scoreboard are the responsibility of the driver, once you stage you have accepted the run.
2. Bye-Runs will be drawn before starting eliminations. Bye-Runs will be carried over until used. After a bye- run is used or the driver is eliminated, a bye- run will go to the best reaction time from the previous round among drivers who have not had a bye- run. Bye- Runs are limited to 1 per race. Break byes DO NOT COUNT. A bye run can be declined by a driver before the round starts and then will go to the next eligible driver. The bye- run driver will have lane choice until thy bye is used or the driver is eliminated or until the final round, then lane choice is by high card. The bye- run driver will be pulled out of staging and will run the last run of the round.
3. Car failure limit- 2 minutes in staging- 1 minute on track.
4. No switching lanes.
5. Cars must have a working taillight when running at night
6. If a car wins a round and breaks, both are out. A driver cannot enter another car after eliminations have begun…Drivers can substitute another car before the first round of elimination.
7. ZERO TOLERENCE of drugs and alcohol for any drivers. Any driver caught drinking alcohol or using drugs will be barred from the track.
8. Odd staging lanes run right lane, even staging lanes run left lane. Lane choice is determined by high card that the staging director will have. Cars are considered paired when the staging director has pointed to 2 car at the head of staging.
9. Speed limit in pits is 10 mph. This applies to bicycles, 4-wheelers, motorcycles, race cars and spectator vehicles.
10. You must be age 16 or older to operate a motorized vehicle inside the track area. No children on bicycles, go carts, or scooters are allowed in the pits. This is for their own safety.
11. Cars leaking anything on the track will not run.
12. Any car crossing the center line will be disqualified and the other driver will advance.
13. If officials feel a car is not safe, you will not run.
14. All drivers must wear a seat belt.
15. We will follow IHRA safety rules.
16. Management makes all final decisions.
Pro ET
1. All drivers must wear a helmet.
2. Cars must have a neutral safety switch
3. All drivers and crew must sign a release waiver for insurance purposes before entering on race track.
4. Electronics are optional
5. ET break for Pro ET is 8.99 and faster
6. Drive shaft loop is required when car is running slicks.
7. Seatbelts are required on all cars. Shoulder harness are required on car running 7.99 and faster.
Footbrake
1. Drivers running 7.99 and faster must wear a helmet.
2. There will be no ET break for this class.
3. Deep Staging is allowed, Deep must be clearly visible on front windshield, left and back glass.
4. Cars must have a neutral safety switch
5. All drivers and crew must sign a release waiver for insurance purposes before entering on race track.
6. Drive shaft loop is required when car is running slicks
7. Seatbelts are required on all cars. Shoulder harness are required on car running 7.99 and faster.
8. No dragsters or altereds in this class. Left hand roadsters are legal (Div. 2 Rules)
9. NO DELAY BOXES OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED IN CARS.
10. NO BUTTONS ON STEERING WHEEL.
11. Two- steps are allowed only on clutch cars and can only have a chip in the high side, no two-steps in automatic cars…Air-shifters and electronic shifters are legal.
12. Nothing on the front of the car is allowed in order to stop the beams.
13. Transbrakes are not allowed for use on the starting line.
All Heads- Up Classes
1. All cars must have doors.
2. No throttle stops.
3. No stutter boxes.
4. All cars must have seat belts. 7.99 and faster must have shoulder harness.
5. 7.99 and faster must wear a helmet.
Chilton County Dragway has the right to consider these rules as they see fit to the racers results.
